Caruba extension tube set, for Nikon 1 series, chrome

The Caruba extension tube set for the Nikon 1 series consists of three extension tubes that are placed between the camera and the lens, allowing focusing closer to the subject than the lens allows on its own. The tubes fit lenses with a Nikon 1 mount and have a chrome mount.

An extension tube increases the distance between the sensor and the rear element of the lens, so the subject is projected larger onto the sensor; the thicker the tube, the closer the focus. The tubes can be used separately or stacked, up to 47mm in total. The more tubes are stacked, the stronger the magnification, but the more light is lost and the smaller the working distance becomes, so focus manually with stacked tubes. The tubes contain no glass, so the character of the lens stays unchanged. Autofocus and TTL metering keep working.
