Caruba extension tube set, for Nikon 1 series, aluminium

The Caruba extension tube set for the Nikon 1 series consists of three aluminium extension tubes that are placed between the camera and the lens. This lets you focus closer to the subject than the lens allows on its own. The tubes fit lenses with a Nikon 1 mount.

An extension tube increases the distance between the sensor and the rear element of the lens, so the subject is projected larger onto the sensor. The thicker the tube, the closer you can get. The tubes contain no glass, so the image does not pass through an extra optical element.

• Three extension tubes of 10mm, 16mm and 21mm, used separately or stacked
• The three tubes combine up to 47mm
• Shortens the minimum focusing distance of the lens
• Autofocus and TTL metering keep working
• Aluminium mount
• Weight: 100g
• Warranty: 3 years
• Package contents: 1 x extension tube 10mm, 1 x extension tube 16mm, 1 x extension tube 21mm, 1 x set of lens caps

The more tubes are stacked, the stronger the magnification, but the more light is lost and the smaller the working distance becomes. With stacked tubes, focus manually, because the depth of field is very shallow.
