Buteo Photo Gear Grebe II floating hide
Description
The Buteo Photo Gear Grebe II is a floating hide for wildlife photography, with reed camouflage extending around the entire inflatable tube. Integrated front and rear lens sleeves and a lowered lens opening support low-angle photography.
The PVC tube has two independent air chambers, reinforced tapered ends and double-secured attachment points. D-rings accommodate additional nets, bags or accessories. The reinforced umbrella-style frame supports a 150D polyester tent with a 2500mm hydrostatic head. The windows are not waterproof and may let in water during heavy rain.
- Larger front and rear viewing windows retain camouflage and insect protection. Magnetic catches close the windows, loops hold them open, and pull cords operate the window openings.
- Front and rear each have one 20x7cm window above the lens sleeve, two 10x7cm side windows and one 22x11cm upper window. Each side has three 22x11cm observation windows. All windows have insect nets.
- Balanced side handles help with carrying the hide and equipment.
- Accessory bags measure 20x13x13cm each and attach at the front or rear. The bags are waterproof except for their zippers.
- The updated design includes an improved safety-net fit and a reinforced foot pump.
To assemble, inflate both chambers, attach the mounting plate and tripod head, secure the safety net and bags, open the umbrella-style tent and fasten it to the tube. A detailed user manual is included and should be read before use.
