The JJC ASP Q3 Viewfinder Protector for Leica Q3 puts a layer of tempered glass over the viewfinder of your Leica Q3 43 or Q3. Every time you shoot, your eye and your eyebrow press against that window, and that leaves grease and fine scratches behind. The protector takes all of that. It is 0.33 mm thick, so it hardly stands out above the rim of the window.

Glass

The glass comes from CSG and has aluminium oxide in the mix. That makes it harder than ordinary window glass, which lets it stay thin without cracking easily. A grain of sand or a knock from a belt buckle lands on the protector.

Clarity

The AR coating sits on top of the glass. It keeps reflection off the surface low, so backlight does not put a bright patch in your viewfinder image. What you see stays as bright and as contrasty as it is without the protector.

Fitting

The box holds an application kit and a manual that walks you through the steps. When you want the glass off again, you use the suction cup or the triangular tool instead of levering at the edge with a fingernail. A pair of PET films for the sub screen is included as well, for cameras that have one.

Compatibility

The ASP Q3 is cut for the viewfinder window of the Leica Q3 43 and the Leica Q3. It does not fit other cameras, because the shape follows the outline of that one window.
