Ilford Multigrade contrast filter set, 3 pcs, 8.9x8.9cm

Contrast filter sets for variable-grade papers are supplied in square format (8.9 and 15.2 cm) for insertion into the internal drawers of enlargers, between the light source and the negative. The set contains 12 filters, numbered from 0 to 5 in 0.5 steps.

Number 5 corresponds to the highest contrast, 00 to the softest. When changing contrast, there is little need to think about exposure correction: all filters from 00 to 3.5 give the same exposure, while filters from 4 to 5 exactly double it.
