Improved protective performance and durability
A filter coating is not permanent. It is damaged repeatedly when cleaned with wipes and becomes weaker over time. A filter can protect the lens from physical damage, but the coating takes the impact first, as a scratch. A hard, scratch-resistant filter coating is a great advantage.

This filter is made with an ultra-hard nano coating to protect the camera lens. The HD nano Mk II UV filter has a UV cut-off curve that does not affect the visible light spectrum. The filter also offers a new reinforced coating that protects the lens from wear while making water stains and fingerprints easy to wipe off. HD nano Mk II glass is 4x tougher than chemically strengthened optical glass.

Designed to protect the camera's expensive lens system from scratches and impacts, the HD nano Mk II filter is essential equipment for photography in extremely demanding conditions.

Reinforced coating
The newly developed coating adheres to the glass surface much more tightly and densely at the nano level than before. As a result, particles are arranged on the glass surface at an extremely high density, forming a hard and smooth coating. In addition to its ultra-hard and smooth properties, the HOYA HD nano Mk II coating has excellent water and oil repellency, which makes caring for the filter easy and worry-free.
