Freewell VND × MIST is a high-quality 2-in-1 hybrid filter: adjustable fader and diffusion filter. The BRIGHT DAY series consists of filters adjustable in the range of ND64x (ND1.8) - ND512x (ND2.7), reducing the amount of light reaching the sensor from 6 to 9 f-stops. An additional softening of 1/8 ensures a subtle cinematic effect - less digital and more organic and natural. The filter diameter is 58 mm.

Freewell photo filters are created using multi-layer optical glass, characterized by high light transmission. Using them does not interfere with the original color scheme of the shot or the autofocus. Glass lenses are covered with additional anti-reflective coatings, eliminating light flashes, and protective coatings, increasing resistance to accidental scratches or chips. The protective layers also prevent water and oil stains and make all small contaminants very easy to remove.

The VND × MIST series has also received a functional dimming range lock ( Hard Stop points), which effectively prevents the occurrence of the unfavorable phenomenon of cross-polarization, often present in filters of the amateur segment as a clear "X" sign on the image. The Hard Stop mechanism also eliminates vignetting when using wide-angle lenses with focal lengths above 16mm and full-frame cameras. The filter lenses are embedded in lightweight, electroplated blackened aluminum frames. Profiled grooves make it easy to install and change ND values. All this makes them ideal accessories for work in any, even difficult conditions. The filters are also threaded on one side - a practical magnetic cap is included.
