Newell Smart C4 Supra charger for NiMH/Li-Ion batteries

The Newell Smart C4 Supra is a universal charger for cylindrical rechargeable batteries, with four channels that can simultaneously accommodate C or 22650 cells. Its LCD shows voltage, current, charging time, internal resistance, estimated capacity and charge percentage.

Charging current is selected automatically or manually. Li-ion 4.2 V and NiMH/NiCd 1.48 V types are recognised automatically; LiFePO4 and Li-ion 4.35 V require manual selection. Before charging, the charger measures internal resistance and estimates capacity; a capacity estimate is also available after charging. Channel 4 offers a more precise capacity measurement using a charge/discharge cycle.

Protection covers incorrect battery insertion, short circuits and overcharging, with charging stopped automatically when full. The charger attempts to reactivate over-discharged or 0 V lithium-ion cells, but recovery may be impossible if they are damaged.
