Umbrellas are known for their light weight and quick setup, but not all umbrella systems are equal. The EL flash's centred umbrella mount provides symmetrical, optimal illumination for all Elinchrom umbrellas. Elinchrom Umbrella Deep umbrellas are made with 16 fibreglass rods for a perfectly round shape. The deep design provides precise control of light distribution. These umbrellas can also be converted into "foldable" softboxes, for example by adding a translucent cover to a silver umbrella, or a silver/black cover to a translucent umbrella. Many other options are possible. The white umbrella is often chosen for its slightly warm tones and softer shadow transitions.
