Datavideo ZEK-1 Zoom Encoder Kit

The Datavideo ZEK-1 zoom encoder kit adds zoom position sensing to the PTR-10/10T Mark II system, which already reads pan and tilt movement. It measures rotation of the camera's zoom ring and sends position information to the controller so zoom positions can be stored and recalled.

A small gear wheel engages with the zoom ring and must fit tightly with matching gearing. The encoder comes with an M0.8 gear fitted; an additional M0.6 gear accommodates lenses with M0.6 gearing, such as the Sony X200. For zoom rings without suitable gearing, a compatible M0.8 or M0.6 belt can be used. The included gear ring belt is designed for the M0.8 gear.
