K&F Concept Nano-X B270 86mm CPL Polarizing Filter

K&f Concept Nano-X Series Multi-Coated Circular Polarizing Filter (CPL) with a diameter of 86 mm. The green coating used in its production guarantees light transmission at the level of ≥ 45%. The filter is made of repeatedly polished and ground Schott B270 optical glass, characterized by a very low refractive index. As a result, the use of a filter allows for a significant reduction in unwanted flare and glare.

Polarizing filters allow you to capture effects in your photos that are invisible to the naked eye. Their task is to block a part of the reflected light with a specific polarization, so that it does not reach the photosensitive material. The rotating design, consisting of two rings screwed on top of each other, allows for smooth change of polarizer settings, thanks to which it is possible to cut off only waves with specific parameters. As a result, the use of CPL filters allows, for m.in, to reduce reflections on water, glass or metallic surfaces. Their action is most effective when the light falls at an angle of 90º, but it is also naturally associated with a slight darkening of the image by about 1-2 aperture stops.

The Nano-X series are multi-coated filters, and their glass is additionally hardened (HD), which allows them to effectively protect them from scratches or chips. High light transmission is accompanied by resistance to water and oil – no stains remain on the lens, and all naturally formed impurities, such as fingerprints or dust, settle much more difficult and are very easy to remove.

Nano-X also includes slim filters with an extremely thin aluminum frame with a width of only 4 mm, thanks to which the risk of vignettes is minimized. The galvanically blackened frame adheres precisely to the lens, and the profiled recesses make it easy to operate the filter. The filters are also double-threaded, which allows for the simultaneous use of additional accessories or the installation of covers.
