K&F Concept Nano-X B270 67mm CPL Polarizing Filter

K&f Concept Nano-X Series Circular Multi-Layer Polarizing Filter (CPL) with a diameter of 67 mm. It has been covered with a green coating that provides light transmission of up ≥ 45%. It is made of Schott B270 optical glass, which has been polished and ground many times, which is characterized by a very low refractive index, which significantly helps to reduce unwanted flare or glare.

Polarizing filters allow you to capture effects in your photos that are invisible to the naked eye. Their task is to block a part of the reflected light with a specific polarization, so that it does not reach the photosensitive material. The rotating design, consisting of two rings screwed on top of each other, allows for smooth change of polarizer settings, thanks to which it is possible to cut off only selected waves. As a result, the use of CPL filters allows, for m.in, to reduce reflections on water, glass or metallic surfaces. Their action is most effective when the light falls at an angle of 90º, but it is also naturally associated with a slight darkening of the image by about 1-2 f-stops.

The Nano-X series are multi-coated filters, and their glass is additionally hardened (HD), which allows them to effectively protect them from scratches or chips. High light transmission is accompanied by resistance to water and oil – no stains remain on the surface of the filter, and all naturally formed impurities, such as fingerprints or dust, settle on them much more difficult and are very easy to remove.

Nano-X also offers slim filters with an extremely thin aluminum frame with a width of only 4 mm. This minimizes the risk of vignettes. The galvanically blackened frame adheres precisely to the lens, while the contoured, trapezoidal recesses make it easy to operate the filter. The filters are also double-threaded, which allows for the simultaneous use of additional accessories or the installation of covers.
