Cokin Nuances M Gradient ND filter ND8 Soft – 3 f-stop

Cokin has created the NUANCES series of neutral grey mineral glass filters, featuring a range of innovative technologies that deliver amazing results. A new coating process ensures a flawlessly uniform tint. A nano-metallic alloy is applied to both sides of the exceptionally durable, tempered Schott B270 glass. Schott B270 is known in the industry for its high light transmission and low reflectivity. The result is remarkably neutral and free of infrared pollution. NUANCES filters can be used individually or several together. They are designed to be compatible with the Cokin CREATIVE filter holder in sizes M to XL and the wide range of Cokin CREATIVE filters.

NUANCES graduated ND filters (GND) are designed for landscape photography. In situations where the dynamic range of the film or sensor is too narrow, graduated ND filters let you balance the brightness of two parts of the image, effectively keeping detail in the brightest areas and preventing it from being lost in the shadier parts. The effect of GND filters still cannot be reproduced in post-processing, where a lost part of the image cannot always be recovered because of clipping. The transition between the light and dark parts of a GND filter is soft, so it can easily be adapted to different situations.
