Caruba EW 65BII lens hood, black

The Caruba EW 65BII is a black lens hood that blocks light entering from the side to reduce flare and colour cast in images. Its matte interior absorbs stray light.

The hood extends in front of the lens glass to intercept light from outside the frame that could otherwise reflect inside the lens and appear as haze or coloured patches. The projecting rim helps protect the front element against knocks and the first drops of rain. Check your lens manual for the matching hood model, as fittings differ between lenses.
