ILFORD ORTHO PLUS is an orthochromatic black and white film. Developed as a high-resolution copying film for negatives, ORTHO PLUS offers outstanding photographic potential thanks to its fine grain and sharpness.

Ideal for landscape photography: the blue and green sensitivity of this emulsion allows the film to be processed under dark red safelight, making processing and inspection easier. The lack of red sensitivity also means that reds and oranges in the frame are rendered darker and with stronger contrast than on standard panchromatic films (all other ILFORD and Kentmere films are panchromatic).

ILFORD ORTHO PLUS is DX coded at ISO 80 for daylight / natural light shooting. In tungsten lighting, ISO 40 must be set manually. Alternatively, an exposure correction of 1 stop can be made. Whether you shoot at ISO 80 or 40, it can be processed in the standard way.
