Sekla dziļuma efekts — pat saulainākajās dienās — pateicoties pelēkajiem Irix Edge filtriem, var izmantot ātros objektīvus, piemēram, f/1.4, f/1.8 (un vēl ātrākus), pat saulainā dienā. Irix Edge pilna ND filtrs ļaus fotografēt ar platu diafragmu, kas ļaus iegūt sekla dziļuma efektu.
